چکیده
The purpose of this study was to compare changes in muscle pre-activation and short-latency responses the lower limbs during drop jumps performed on different common soft hard surfaces at various platform heights. aimed collect electromyography data from rectus femoris, biceps tibialis anterior, gastrocnemius, soleus dominant leg sand, turf, polyurethane, wood heights 30, 40, 50, 60 cm. Muscle refers activity 100 ms before ground contact a jump, while refer activation occurring 30–60 after contact. These definitions were used measure analyze neuromuscular limb muscles using Sand as material 50 cm significantly enhanced (all p < 0.01). difficulty jump task can enhance latency muscles. It is recommended that athletes perform sandy or platforms higher than induce improve levels landing.

Age-related neuromuscular function during drop jumps.
Muscle- and movement-specific fascicle-tendon interaction affects the performance of the neuromuscular system. This interaction is unknown among elderly and consequently contributes to the lack of understanding the age-related problems on neuromuscular control. The present experiment studied the age specificity of fascicle-tendon interaction of the gastrocnemius medialis (GM) muscle in drop jum...
متن کاملFunctional and neuromuscular changes in the hamstrings after drop jumps and leg curls.
The purpose of this study was to use a holistic approach to investigate changes in jumping performance, kinaesthesia, static balance, isometric strength and fast stepping on spot during a 5-day recovery period, following an acute bout of damaging exercise consisted of drop jumps and leg curls, where specific emphasis was given on the hamstring muscles. Eleven young healthy subjects completed a ...
متن کاملProtection against muscle damage following fifty drop jumps conferred by ten drop jumps.
This study investigated whether 10 drop jumps (DJs) would confer protective effect against muscle damage and soreness in a subsequent bout of 50 DJs. Sixteen men were randomly placed into either a group performing 1 set of 10 DJs followed by 5 sets of 10 DJs (10-50, n = 8) or another group performing 2 bouts of 5 sets of 10 DJs (50-50, n = 8) separated by 2 weeks. The DJs were performed from a ...
متن کاملDrop impact on superheated surfaces.
At the impact of a liquid droplet on a smooth surface heated above the liquid's boiling point, the droplet either immediately boils when it contacts the surface ("contact boiling"), or without any surface contact forms a Leidenfrost vapor layer towards the hot surface and bounces back ("gentle film boiling"), or both forms the Leidenfrost layer and ejects tiny droplets upward ("spraying film bo...
متن کاملChanges in predictive motor control in drop-jumps based on uncertainties in task execution.
Drop-jumps are controlled by predictive and reactive motor strategies which differ with respect to the utilization of sensory feedback. With reaction, sensory feedback is integrated while performing the task. With prediction, sensory information may be used prior to movement onset. Certainty about upcoming events is important for prediction. The present study aimed at investigating how uncertai...
